In a world where machines are increasingly becoming part of our daily lives, the ability to teach computers to effectively "see" and understand visual information is more crucial than ever. While basic computer vision helps machines recognize objects, Structural and Advanced Computer Vision takes this ability to a whole new level by allowing machines to interpret complex structures, environments, and even 3D images. This advanced level of image processing is essential in fields like healthcare, robotics, and autonomous vehicles, where correctly interpreting visual data can make a significant difference.

Prerequisites:
- This course is designed for everyone. No prior knowledge is required.
Course type:
This is an elective course (E) in the Master of Engineering program in Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (International Program) offered by Thammasat University and SkillLane.
Grading Criteria:
This course consists of 1) Quizzes, which account for 40% of the grade, 2) Final Exam, which accounts for 60% of the grade, Grades will be assigned based on the following scheme:
A 90-100
A- 85-89.99
B+ 80-84.99
B 75-79.99
B- 70-74.99
C+ 65-69.99
C 60-64.99
D 50-59.99
F 0-49.99
Instructor Background:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warut Pannakkong
Currently, Dr. Warut holds a teaching position at School of Manufacturing System and Mechanical Engineering of the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University. He has academic expertise in various fields including Artificial intelligence in industrial applications, Time series forecasting, Computer vision for industry, Data mining, Machine learning, Production planning and optimization, Discrete-event systems simulation, Vehicle routing and scheduling, Logistics and supply chain management.
Dr. Warut completed his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (1st Class Honors) from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Systems Engineering from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University and PhD in Knowledge Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Raveekiat Singhaphandu
Currently, Dr. Raveekiat holds a teaching position at CMKL University. He has academic expertise in various fields including Applied Software Engineering and Deep Learning in Computer Vision.
Dr. Raveekiat completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Master’s degree in Informatics, Technical University of Munich, Germany, Ph.D. in Knowledge Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan, and Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University
