In today's digital world, we’re surrounded by images everywhere. Whether it's photos taken with our smartphones, pictures uploaded to social media, or videos uploaded to streaming websites. As humans, we can easily see and understand what these images convey. However, computers can't see and understand images like humans do. That's why we need to learn how to teach computers to see so that they can process image data through analysis and pattern recognition. This will greatly benefit our daily lives, such as medical image analysis, automated stores, or self-driving cars. This course will talk about the image processing techniques for developing these applications.

This course consists of 1) Quizzes, which account for 60% of the grade, 2) Final Exam, which accounts for 40% of the grade, Grades will be assigned based on the following scheme:

Instructor Background:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natsuda Kaothanthong
Currently, Dr. Natsuda holds a teaching position at School of Management Technology of the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University. She has academic expertise in various fields including Data Mining, Business Intelligence, Computer Vision, Computational Geometry, and Image Processing.

Dr. Natsuda completed her Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, Master’s degree in Information Sciences, Graduate School of Information Sciences, Tohoku University, Japan, and Ph.D. in Information Sciences, Graduate School of Information Sciences, Tohoku University, Japan.
